Julia,

Thanks to the continued support of friends and family, I have the privilege of announcing the Grand Opening of my photography studio! I have officially become a business owner, and I’m having the time of my life! In the past three months, I have met the most spectacular people, families and individuals who have trusted me to photograph them. What great people they are. Had I known I was going to learn and enjoy it so much, I would have done it a long time ago! Please look at my newsletter. It's a way for me to share some of the fun and to pass on some of the things I'm learning along the way. If you have anything to add or to contribute, please drop me a line. Thanks again for everyone’s help and encouragement!!!
Jules

Have you ever had this much fun taking a family picture?

My Goal for you:

  • You and your family to be yourselves
  • To involve your children
  • A create a fabulous family memory
  • Real excitement, personality, expression

    • Fun and excitement won’t show if you’re pretending to smile!

The first rule of thumb when taking pictures of your pet is patience. This goes for children also! Asking your pets to sit in unfamiliar poses will make them agitated and cranky. Cranky is NOT a good thing. We see our pets doing a million cute things a day. The trick is having the camera ready when those things are happening.

Let me tell you, just turning the camera on will make your pet curious enough to move from his cute position to breathing on your lens. Turn the camera on before you're going to shoot, then mind your own business. The fastest way to get your pet to be cute again is to ignore her. Just go about things as you normally do. When your pet is relaxed and being herself again, you will be able to get the picture you want.

One last tip: watch your background. One way to do this is to take your pictures “close up” so that you have no background to worry about. The other way is to go to a location where the background is generally nice and inconspicuous. Your backyard or a park will do, I would much rather see a bush than my cluttered kitchen table in a photograph! Have fun with it, and send me your great pictures, I’ll post them next month!

      Love at First Sight
Flowers die, chocolate gets eaten and fancy underwear rarely gets worn, but "a picture is worth a thousand words". This year, give your sweetie 33 "I Love You"s that will last a lifetime. Give a picture! Surprise your loved one with a beautiful picture of yourself. Come in together and get a great picture of the two of you. Purchase a gift certificate telling the person you love how much you would love to have a picture of them.

Special: $10.00 off and 5 free 4x6 prints when you mention this newsletter and schedule your appointment by February 20th.

After the pictures are taken how do I view my pictures and order my prints? Once you have gotten your pictures taken, I will edit and post them to my website, where you and your family can view them. Simply click the "View My Event" button on my main page and find your pictures. Ordering your photos couldn't be easier. You can order the size and amount of prints you want directly from your own home or office. You order the pictures, and they will be sent to any address you desire. You may also send the link to your favorite friend or relative so that they can choose their favorites.

What if you don’t have access to a computer or if you don’t have a credit card? No problem. You can view your pictures with me at the studio, and I will order them for you. What about other people viewing or purchasing your photos without your permission? I can “lock” your pictures and send you a password. This way only people you’ve given the password to can view your photos. In addition, I receive an e-mail from the lab every time someone purchases pints, I will know right away if someone strange is purchasing your pictures. I have really put a lot of effort into balancing your convenience with your safety.

Photography is fun, no matter which side of the camera you're on!

      Sincerely,

      Julia Heart
