About Me

I’m an American writer living in the quiet solitude of the cornfields of Northern Illinois. My first novel, "The Jewels of January," was self-published in June 2023, and I am working on my next Romantic Comedy.
My journey to becoming a self-published author has not been easy. As someone who is painfully dyslexic, I have struggled with grammar and language my entire life. Despite this, I have never let it stop me from pursuing my dreams of writing and sharing my stories with the world. (Don’t be surprised if you see the occasional mistake on things I post or write.)
When not pouring my heart and soul into my writing, I spend time with my loved ones, enjoying simple pleasures like playing corn-hole, knitting, crocheting, traveling, and taking silly selfies in front of post offices. And, of course, Reading and listening to books.

Why Post Offices?
About five years ago, I got pretty sick. Nothing too serious, but it slowed me down significantly. At the same time, I had just moved to Colorado, but because I felt so bad, I couldn’t explore my new state.
One day I put on something besides sweats and drove to Estes Park (36 miles from my place). It was beautiful! I called my sweet friend Crystal and said, “Hey, look at me, I got out of my apartment!” She said. “Great...you should take a picture by the sign that says...Welcome to Estes Park.” But that sign was about 3 miles out of town. I said, “how about the post office? I bet the city name is on the building.” I drove to the PO, took a selfie, and sent it to her. She said, “Yay… Where is the next town?”
Every time I post a PO picture, it's me saying...”l love all of you, and right now, today, I feel good enough to leave my house.” ❤️
