I’m a slow reader. Like, really slow. So when I say I read this book in a little more than a day, I hope it conveys just how engaging and exciting and wonderful this book was. I could not put it down!

Julia is a fabulous writer! She pulled me in from the beginning and I couldn’t put the book down. The characters, the story, the setting, it was SO well done! Her writing style is incredibly thoughtful and perfectly descriptive, I felt like I was IN the middle of the story from the beginning. The fact that the book is based on her life and experiences just adds another layer of appreciation for this incredible novel.
You will not be disappointed, buy this book!!
Reading this book felt like stepping back in time, all the way back to 1991. There is so much to enjoy, the character development is brilliant. I think it's important to remember sometimes the biggest battles we can fight is with our own self. This book does a very good job of highlighting this.
I absolutely fell in love with this book. I would 100% recommend.
